Baby bald eagles are called eaglets. They are born grey and it
takes them 4 to 5 years to grow the symbolic white feathers around
their head. In the wild, bald eagles can live to be 35 to 40 years
old. Eagle nests are called aeries and some adult eagles use the
same nest year after year to raise their new
eaglets.
