Ce-Ce and Friends Humane Society Making a difference...one feline at a time Pets of the Month Our pets of the month introduce themselves... MAXY and...
As an Adoption Caretaker, you could assist in the placement of animals into new, loving homes. Maybe you would prefer some hands-on animal experience in our kennels. As a Kennel Caretaker you would provide care and enrichment for animals just arriving or waiting to be placed up for adoption. For those of you with a little less time each month, you could be a Canine or Kitty Companion. Those volunteers with the dogs would walk and provide basic training and those volunteers who prefer purrs to barks, could pet, play with and groom the cats. Are you a retired teacher? Maybe introducing students to the animals at one of our adoption centers would be your choice.

The Boston facility serves as the headquarters for the Animal Rescue League of Boston. The site houses the administrative offices, extensive animal housing, an adoption center, an outpatient veterinary clinic, four ambulances, and the majority of the law enforcement department.
The MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center in Boston serves about 2,500 animals a year and plans are under way to expand and renovate the current shelter.
The existing center will evolve into a modern state-of-the-art Animal Care and Adoption Center, nearly quadrupling in area from 3,600 to 12,000 square feet. Different species will be housed in separate areas, with natural light and climate control to reduce stress and increase comfort.
